‘I’VE GOT THE TIME’
VIDEO OUT NOW
ONE FOUR SIX ONE EP
PLAYING CANADIAN MUSIC WEEK
APRIL 18TH – 23RD
Having just completed their UK tour, Leeds rockers Where Fires Are have revealed the video for their new single ‘I’ve Got The Time’, taken from the One Four Six One EP, out now.
Suited in their signature coloured body-paint, the adrenaline-fuelled five-piece have delivered an electrifying video showcasing the volatile energy and passion they convey in every performance, while immersed in an aptly chosen ‘sea of green’, which fits not only with the lyrics but the mood of the track.
The band spoke to New Noise Magazine about the inspiration behind the video; “Ourselves and the videographer wanted to make a video which captured the theatricality and energy of our live performance. We want the audience to believe in every note we play and immerse themselves in the music, in the same way that we do when we are on stage. We went down the performance video route to illustrate the pride we have in our music and stage craft.”
The blend of heavy riffs and pounding drums with insistent melodies gives them a dynamic and intricate alt-rock sound with an added punch that translates throughout the One Four Six One EP. The record kicks off with ‘I’ve Got The Time’ and is followed by three other versatile and emotionally-charged tracks, ‘It Feels Right’, ‘I’m Here’ and ‘Die Or Survive’.
Where Fires Are emerged onto the scene with the 2015 Orange EP, which sparked support from BBC Introducing and BBC 6 Music gaining them their first taste of national airplay and saw them secure slots at some of the UK’s biggest festivals including Reading and Leeds, Tramlines, Live at Leeds, Kendal Calling and Willow Festival.
Now fresh from their 10-date UK tour the band have just announced that they will be playing Canadian Music Week this April, with many more live dates to be announced shortly. The band’s diverse styling and intricate song-writing elevates them from the crowd and makes them one of the most exciting prospects coming out of the Leeds music scene today.
