A Judge has dismissed a lawsuit against MÖTLEY CRÜE by Howard Scott King according to TMZ.com. Mr King, an engineer claimed that he had given Tommy Lee, CRÜE’s drummer the idea about the roller-coaster drum kit in 1991. Lee first hit the skins in public on the 360 degree roller-coaster drum set back in 2011. CRÜE and Lee’s legal team had argued that Kings model for the kit was dissimilar to that of the legendary drummers model.
According to TMZ.com, the Judge had determined that Mr King who was reportedly seeking $400,000 in damages – never owned exclusive rights to the roller-coaster drums concept and that Lee had created his roller-coaster kit himself.
