After the successful release of their debut album ‘Scars & Crosses‘ in the summer of 2016, Hamburg-based sludge & stoner metal band HIGH FIGHTER have just recently announced to join a full European tour with CONANDOWNFALL OF GAIA and HARK, kicking off March 8th 2017!
Born in the summer of 2014 by former band members of A Million Miles, Buffalo Hump and Pyogenesis, this band is a volatile cocktail of heavy as hell riffs fuelled by beer and the mighty weedian riffs. Add a heavy dose of the blues and these deadly schizophrenic vocals and HIGH FIGHTER offer something new to the scene.
If you’re looking for a highly polished band then look elsewhere as HIGH FIGHTER play mean and dirty Blues, Stoner, Doom & Sludgy riffs to fuel your appetite with!
After their first and critically acclaimed demo EP ‘The Goat Ritual‘ released end of 2014, followed by numerous shows all over Europe, including festivals, shows and tours with bands such as Ahab, Mammoth Storm, Elder, Crowbar, Corrosion of Conformity, The Midnight Ghost Train, Earth Ship & many more, HIGH FIGHTER have released their first full length album ‘Scars & Crosses‘ in June 2016 on Finland’s cult label Svart Records.
While the band is already working on album number 2 and being confirmed for festival shows this year such as Wacken Open Air 2017, Under The Black Moon or the Malta Doom Fest, HIGH FIGHTER are stoked to be opening for doom heavyweights CONAN as well as special guests DOWNFALL OF GAIA and Welsh progressive-power-sludge band HARK.
